Nanny Arrested for Larceny

On 2/29, Winchester Police arrested 24 year old nanny, Megan Robinson of N. Billerica for larceny.
Robinson was hired by a Winchester family who reported that she had been stealing money from the home.  After discovering missing cash, the family used a “nanny cam” to monitor the home and caught Robinson in the act.

 

Two Winchester Men Arrested on Drug Charges

After a lengthy drug investigation, Inaldo Oquendo, 20 and Timothy Loftman, 31 of Winchester were arrested by Winchester Police.  A search warrant was executed on the men’s Cambridge Street home where a significant amount of heroin, crack cocaine and marijuana were confiscated.   The men are being charged with Possession of Class A, B and D substances, with intent to distribute.   The Winchester Police were assisted by the Southern Middlesex Regional Drug Task Force and the NEMLEC SWAT team.

Larceny Arrest

Winchester Police arrested Justin Guilbault of New Hampshire for Larceny over $250.  Guilbault was arrested early Friday morning during Winchester Police Department’s second night of surveillance at a business on Lowell Ave.  The business owner had previously been victim of larceny when 97 steel construction plates had been stolen.  The plates weigh approximately 120 pounds and are valued close to $300 each.

Captured – Robbery Suspect

The Winchester Police Department along with Medford and Somerville police, arrested Michael Wallace of Somerville for armed robbery.  Wallace is being charged for the June 15, robbery of the Dairy barn on Main Street in Winchester.  Wallace is also suspected of robbing convenience stores in Medford and Somerville.  Both Winchester and Somerville police departments received anonymous tips which led to Wallace’s arrest.

Winchester Police All Star Softball Game

Support the Winchester Police Department as we take on the All Pro Celebrity Softball Team.  Our annual Winchester Police Relief Association softball game will be held at 7:00 PM on June 6, at Ginn Field.  The event is being held on the same day as Town Day, so come down to Ginn Field for the game and stick around for a great view of the Town Day fireworks.

Winchester Police Relief Association Fundraiser

The Winchester Police Relief Association fundraiser has begun.  Unfortunately, scams do exist where people not involved with the relief association attempt to take advantage of unsuspecting individuals wishing to make a contribution.  The relief association would like to take this opportunity to announce that our fundraiser has begun and will continue through mid April.  If you do wish to contribute, please be certain to make checks payable to Winchester Police Relief Association. One option to contribute is to leave your donation taped to your door or mailbox for one of our solicitors to pick up.   If you don’t feel comfortable leaving a check for one of our solicitors, you can mail it to 30 Mt. Vernon Street, Winchester MA 01890 or drop it off at the police station.  If you have any questions or concerns, contact Relief Association President, Officer James Covino at (781) 729 -1214.

The Winchester Police Department is introducing a new website to better serve the community.  Visit often for important news and information regarding crime alerts and trends in the community   You will also be able to find helpful information and tips about Internet safety and the newest scams.  Our site also offers important information and resources for victims as well as the ability to download several common forms such as crash report requests and sex offender registry requests. From our site, you are also able register for Winchester’s Citizen Alert system, Winchester Aware.  Winchester Aware allows you to receive important public safety and public works notifications and emergency alerts however you choose; whether by phone, email or text.
