About

Welcome to the Winchester Police Department’s web-page.

The Winchester Police Department has adopted the philosophy of community policing which is based on the premise that the police and community must work together to identify, prioritize and solve contemporary problems. Our goal is to provide a safe environment regardless of race, religion, ethnicity, disability gender or sexual orientation and to dispel any remaining “us against them” attitudes among the police and citizens alike. By creating partnerships with the community where open and honest dialogue between the police and the citizens we serve exist, crime and the fear of crime can be reduced.

As we move further into the 21st century the Winchester Police Department remains committed in its delivery of police services in the most efficient and professional manner possible. We hope that with our recently updated website and with your continued help, support, and participation, we can create a lateral tool for communication and a mutual exchange of information.
