Snow Emergency, January 2, 2014
The Town of Winchester is issuing a snow emergency on Thursday January 2nd, 2014 starting at 4:00 PM continuing through 12:00 PM, Friday January 3rd. During these hours it is advised not to travel if possible. All parked vehicles are to be off the street on private property to allow for snow removal. Any vehicle unable to be placed on private property can be parked at the Town Hall/Jenks Center parking lot for the duration of the storm. Any vehicle not removed from the roadway during the emergency will be subject to ticket, tow or both.
Snow accumulations are predicted to be up to a foot of snow. Dangerous travel conditions will develop early this evening and into the night as the snow intensifies.
