All Night Parking Ban
November 4, 2006


     With the winter months fast approaching, the Winchester Police Department will be stepping up its enforcement of the "ALL NIGHT PARKING BAN" effective December 1, 2006, in accordance with Article IV, Section 8 of the Winchester Traffic Regulations, which reads as follows:

     Section 8. NIGHT PARKING PROHIBITED: No vehicles except those of a physicians, nurses, or clergymen while in actual attendence upon the sick, shall be parked on any street for a period of time longer than one (1) hour between the hours of 1 o'clock A.M. and 7 o'clock A.M. of ANY day.

     NOTE: The parking of motor vehicles on grass plots and sidewalks abutting public ways is also a violation of the law. Sidewalks cleared by the DPW for the SAFETY of youngsters going to and from school will be given SPECIAL ATTENTION.
