Actual Ambert Alert

On Friday, February 23, 2007 at approx 7:00pm the Winchester Police Department responded to an officer wanted call. On arrival it was learned that a babysitter was late getting home with two eighteen month old boys, one of which was her own. The Winchester Police Department notified surrounding agencies of the incident and issued a BOLO for the vehicle. Later that evening, through interviews with involed parties it was determined that the boys safety was in question. In conjunction with the State Police the Winchester Police Department issued an AMBER ALERT for the boys. Less than an hour later the vehicle was located by State Police units with all parties unharmed.
